its been two months I have brought the SHIFT and am still unable to make or recieve calls..it getting frustrating..otherwise the comp is just too good

This is UMPC and labelling it as a phone, would be degrading it..the security of the comp is top class as all my impt. Documents are uploaded on my SHIFT. Keyboard is easy to use..screen is large enough for document viewing, video conferencing and web browsing and they have installed the latest Vista OS in it..so the best of best is HTC Shif

I wouldn’t call this a phone, even if u could make/receive calls..it’s a mini-comp..making calls is cumbersome and I have bought another phone for calls, messages and camera purposes. But the HTC Shift is the best device if are hard core businessman and travel a lot and wouldn’t want to carry those heavy laptops everywhere with u.

ya it’s the same kind of functionality..fingerprint sensor works as a password and as no two people’s fingerprints are same..the HTC SHIFT allows only those users to enter whose fingerprints are registered.

I had seen a lenovo notebook ad which had a face recognition feature, which can be used as a password..is it same as face recognition (like we use it as a password)

I did not believe when my friend told me about this. I had heard about this but did not know it had installed Windows Vista in it. Finally I will have a small laptop with sim card. It has got e-mail instant messaging facility also- my wife will be happy

SHIFT? if you purchase it.. then you will waste your money.. its not a complete phone and not a complete PC too!! I would suggest, get a good phone and get a laptop..
