The three most important upgrades that has been given to iphone4 over iphone3 are:
-A front VGA camera(not so bad) for video calling using apps like skype for iphone, Facetime &Fring
-As compared to previously lower 480*320 pixel in iphone3, Iphone4 now has HD screen(retina display) with now a resolution of 960*640 pixel (belive me it's cool, i know it for i have ipod touch4 with same screen)
-A 5MP HD video recording camera in back.
Apart from these it has now 512 MB RAM as compared to previously 256 MB and a new iOS4 operation system with multitasking n some better software support.
The only problem is it's two expensive in Asian countries.
It's the best short review i can give for it.

Hi Amey, To upgrade to iOS4 on your iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch, you will first of all have to upgrade to iTunes 9.2, you can download or upgrade iTunes 9.2 using the Apple Update manager.

Once you have updated your iTunes, connect your device, accept the terms and visit the summary page for the device.

On that page, you will see a button to "Check for Update", click on it to see if the new iOS4 update is available for your device. If there is one you can then follow the normal upgrade process and your iPhone 3GS, 3G or iPod Touch will be updated to use iOS4.
iPhone OS 4, has a lot of new features, including better Multi-tasking, folders for apps, unified inbox, wallpaper support and more.

It will be fun and full entertainment with a new 3D surround sound system with Iphone handset. And definitely it is coming to create history in market with 4G and it will make more easy to use and fun while video calling.

High security, professional looks and advanced features is main in Iphone and definitely this one is more smart and useful than previous handset. Features like Facetime (discussed below) is something too good for direct communication.

Apple introduced the Facetime feature for the first time at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2010). The term FaceTime has been legally purchased from Facetime Communications and is an open standard video calling feature working only on WLAN connectivity. Currently it does not support 3G and works only between two similar iPhone 4 versions.

Would prefer a Nokia N8 anytime over a iPhone 4. It costs less and covers mores functions than this 'fancy' gadget. The spec sheet doesn't seem impressive when you give a good thought to it.
