You can back up apps to the SD card and reinstall them from the SD card using the free Astro app in the Market. But some paid apps are makerd private and those can't be backed up.Once the apps are on the SD card, if you connect your phone to your computer, you can copy the SD card files to your computer to save them there.

My Wife and I have had our backflips since September 2010. We got ours for free with a 2 year family plan. They are the first smart phones we have owned and we both like the ease of adding applications. The keyboard shows no sign of damage and the Gorilla Glass on front is also holding up nicely. Sound quality is usually good and volume is sufficient for my aging ears. We upgraded to the 2.1 Android OS and now both have Kindle running on our phones. I am quite happy with the phones.

IT MUST BE IMMEDIATELY UPDATED TO THE NEW VERSION OF ANDROID 2.X LATEST FROM ITS 1.5 VERSION SO THAT IT CAN BE IN PROPER POSITION AS ALL NEW PHONES OF OTHER COMPANIES ARE LAUNCHED WITH THE NEW ANDROID VERSION OF 2.X

I'm on my 3rd phone in less than 7mos.. Motorola should be ashamed with their QC!
1st phone the battery terminal was loose and when you texted the phone would shut-off/re-boot.
2nd phone thatwas shipped to me wouldn't charge from the get go.
Unexplainable...they should be ashamed

When I flipped the QWERTY keyboard, I found the keys were backlit making keying an easier task. Not only the ease of use, what captured my interest is the beauty of this cell phone that allows updates from tweets and emails in a trouble-free way.

Though Motorola Backflip is the only Android available in Australia at present, the battery life in stand by mode need some monitoring in my opinion as I think it does not meet the specs listed by Motorola.

Hi Harshi, The pre-order deal is somewhat pretty and standard where the cellphone is available in stores where you have to pay $50 deposit. Afterward you will be notified as to when you can come back and pick up your phone.

there are 2 reasons why I liked this phone. One is its unique design - at first glance, the phone looks like Moto Cliq but Cliq is slider phone wherein this one opens like a book and second one is it has QWERTY keyboard (but i am little worried about the durability of the keyboard, Moto says the keyboard is strong and durable.. lets wait and watch)
