Verizon Wireless now offers BlackBerry Tour V.J. | , 10:14 p.m. July 10, 2009 2009-07-10

Verizon Wireless has decided to make available Research In Motion’s highly anticipated global 3G BlackBerry Tour. The BlackBerry Tour is a 3G world phone, offering customers the option to make phone calls in 220 countries and to access email and internet in any of the 175 countries where Verizon Wireless provides data roaming services.


The handset has quad band network support and comes with 256 internal memory and 256 MB RAM. Additionally, the handset has a USB Port which enables charging and high-speed data synchronization via USB A to microUSB B cable.


Additionally, the handset comes with a high-resolution HVGA+, a 2.2 inch color TFT LCD display offering 480 x 360 pixels resolution. The handset includes a media player supporting formats such as MPEG4 H.263, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, WMA ProPlus Bluetooth and built in video recording.


The BlackBerr Tour is available at Verizon Wireless for about $199.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
