Tetra T-Pad: Cellphone Built for War V.J. | , 10:29 a.m. July 1, 2008 2008-07-01

Logic Instrument has released a mobile phone perfectly suited for a soldier. The device was designed especially for the US Troops present offshore. But the handset is also available for anyone who desires a strong, unbreakable, mobile phone for a price as low as $2600.

This is pretty expensive for a mobile phone but the features this device has cannot be found anywhere else. Tetra T-Pad is a massive handset weighting half a kilo. It has an IP65 certificate as well as MIL-STD-810F making it immune to extreme temperatures and impact shocks.

Tetra T-Pad has an Intel Xscale processor of 400 MHz, 64MB RAM, USB, GPS and WiFi and also supports Bluetooth. It runs on Windows CE.Net 4.2 operating system. The massive smartphone has a 4 inch touchscreen display with a 640x480 resolution.

For around $2600 you can do any damage to this phone and it might still work. Drop it, smash in, drown it and it will live on.
