BlackBerry Bold is a highly respected and awaited mobile phone. Dubbed many times as the iPhone killer, it will surely have an impact in the British market. T-Mobile is the first mobile phone carrier in the UK that announced that they will release the BlackBerry Bold. The handset will be available for purchase starting September.
The BlackBerry Bold is a very advanced mobile phone. It is a 3.5 HSDPA (high-speed downlink packet access) device which offers fast internet surfing up to 4.5 Mbps via the T-Mobile network. This would make it perfect for anyone who truly needs mobile internet access.
The handset is actually the first T-Mobile BlackBerry that was launch everywhere. Being a GPS device, the BlackBerry Bold is a quad-band cellphone. The device will come with WiFi connectivity in addition to HSDPA and BlackBerry Maps. But this is not everything; the handset’s features are pretty interesting.
BlackBerry Bold comes with a full QWERTY keypad, excellent for writing email and chatting quickly. It will also offer mobile web access and push email. Image taking will be modest, however, as the device comes with a 2 megapixel camera. It will also have a media player and photo editing software.
The handset has a removable media card slot, miniSD/miniSDHC which comes either as an 8GB or at 16GB. It was actually delayed because of some battery problems but BlackBerry Bold will be available all over the UK in a few days.
