Nokia has launched today (May 4) the long expected Nokia E71x. The handset is said to be the slimmest smartphone in the market and is also available through the US carrier AT&T starting today.

The handset sports a full QWERTY keypad, WiFi, high-speed 3G connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, USB, speakerphone, 120 MB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 8GB of storage space.

The Nokia E71x comes with a 2.4 inch display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and support for 16 Million colors. Additionally, the handset sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities.

The handset is said to be the thinnest smartphone available measuring just 4.4 x 2.2 x 0.3 inches. The phon e comes with a full HTML browser, Music player that supports file-extensions like MP3, AAC, Real, WAV and WMA. The handset also comes with a video player, instant messaging software with support for AOL, Windows Live and Yahoo! Messenger.

Additionally, it comes with AT&T Navigator, email capabilities with Xpress Mail. The battery supports 4 hours talktime and more than 300 hours in standby.
