AT&T announces new range of Quick Messaging phones Saveri | , 10:38 a.m. March 17, 2010 2010-03-17

Addressing consumers who prefer affordable handsets with smartphone-like features, AT&T has introduced a wide range of Quick Messaging Devices namely; Samsung Strive™, Samsung Sunburst™, Pantech Link and Pantech Pursuit.

These devices will be among the first to propose an extensive variety of consumer data services ably supporting enhanced messaging, video and photo sharing, and contacts management.

Quick Messaging Devices are one of the fastest growing segments in the mobile market for they offer the latest in cutting edge technology and a rich user experience at an affordable price.

The new services launched by AT&T can be experienced on the Samsung Strive and include -


1.    Automatic syncing of contacts to an online address book so customers can access and manage their mobile contacts from their handset - or their PC.

2.    Advanced messaging tools to the likes of enhanced group messaging, 'reply all' option to up to 10 contacts, threaded conversations, a consolidated inbox and enhanced multi-media display.

3.    AT&T Mobile Share will allow customers to share photos and videos of up to 10MB across SNS sites and home computer in just a few clicks through their wireless handset.

Both AT&T Address Book and AT&T Mobile Share proffer advantage of cloud-based services giving users smooth access to content on the internet and across mobile phones and computer screens. In addition, back up of content is guaranteed even if users lose or damage their phone.

The new Quick Messaging Devices by AT&T for Spring 2010 are -

Samsung Strive

Features:

*    New AT&T services
*   Available from March 21 in two colour combinations: black / silver or purple / charcoal
*   2.0-megapixel camera
*   Slide out QWERTY keyboard
*   Mobile E-mail, Instant Messaging, Social Networking apps including AT&T Social Net

The Strive will be available for $19.99 for a limited time with a two-year agreement and after $50 mail-in rebate, as part of AT&T's current 50%-off quick messaging phones promotion.

Samsung Sunburst

Features:

*    GPS-enabled
*    Widget bar allowing one-touch access to phone functions
*    Direct access to SNS sites
*    2-megapixel camera

The Sunburst will also be available on March 21 for $39.99 after a two-year agreement and $50 mail-in-rebate.

Pantech Link

Features
:

*    Ultra slim candybar handset
*    Direct access to Mobile Email, instant messaging, AT&T Mobile Share, AT&T Social Net, AT&T Navigator and more

Release date of Pantech Link will be announced in the coming weeks

Pantech Pursuit

Features
:

*    Full touch screen plus a vertical slide out keyboard
*    Direct access to instant messaging, AT&T Mobile Share, AT&T Social Net, AT&T Navigator and more
*    Face recognition
*    Geo tagging
*    Available in green or blue colours

Pantech Pursuit will be announced in the coming weeks
