AT&T and LG Unleash Invision V.J. | , 5:02 p.m. Aug. 20, 2008 2008-08-20

AT&T in collaboration with LG has released a new device especially designed to facilitate mobile TV. The mobile phone carrier and the cellphone manufacturer have just announced the availability of LG Invision.

LG Invision is a new multimedia device made for people who want superb video quality on their mobile phone. The handset’s measures are about 4 inches tall, 2 inches wide and less than 0.5 inches thick. According to the manufacturers, this is the smallest Mobile TV-capable phone in the U.S.

"Invision's unique design makes it AT&T's smallest mobile phone to feature Mobile TV," said Carlton Hill, vice president of Devices and Product Development for AT&T's wireless operations. "Walking around town with live TV in your pocket has never been easier" as from a recent AT&T press released.

AT&T currently offers 3G in about 305 areas in the US and will rise to 350 by the end of 2008. AT&T mobile phones can reach speeds to up to 1.4 megabies per second when surfing the internet. With this connectivity, Mobile TV is becoming a very popular service among the company’s customers and it is very likely that it will recruit more subscribers.
