India gets the new Sony Ericsson R300 Radio phone made for people who enjoy listening to music on their mobile phone and in the same time staying up to date with the latest news from their favorite radio stations.

According to Sony Ericsson officials, the handset is made for Radio usage and has volume boosters for clarity of sound when needed. The handset is however an entry level, aimed at customers who don’t really need the latest mobile technology in their phones.

The Sony Ericsson R300 Radio is available in two colors, antique copper and steel black and comes at a good price, about Rs. 4,395.

“We are witnessing unprecedented growth in smaller towns and cities and plan to increase our geographic presence in such places with launch of the Radio phone R300. The growing popularity of the radio in the tier two and tier three cities has created a tremendous opportunity for penetrating such markets and we are confident that our new offering will be well received by our consumers” said Sudhin Mathur, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communication India spokesman.
