Sony Ericsson C905 and W518 available in the US V.J. | , 11:22 a.m. July 17, 2009 2009-07-17

After the launch of the Sony Ericsson C905 and W518 in the UK a month earlier, Sony Ericsson has decided to launch the two handsets in the US as well. The phones will be available through AT&T beginning July 19.

The Sony Ericsson C905 comes with 2GB Memory Stick Micro to store the images taken by a 8.1 megapixel camera phone with auto-focus, face detection, smart contrast, image stabilizer, red-eye reduction, BestPic, up to 16 x Digital zoom, Photo fix, Photo Flash and Light, Video light, Video recording and stabilizer as well as Photo feed support and PictBridge printing.

Additionally, the handset comes with a 2.4 inch glass display, built-in WiFi and TV-Out, GPS receiver, HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity support. This is a great handset for those who like to take pictures while on the go. The handset will be available for $179.99 after mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement.

The Sony Ericsson 518 Walkman on the other hand is great for people who enjoy music on their mobile phone. The handset comes with a rather modest 3.2 megapixel camera, Facebook built in, GPS and all the Walkman features Sony Ericsson has to offer. This handset was not launched in the UK; however specs and design are very similar to the W508.

Just like the Sony Ericsson C905, the Walkman W518 will be available at AT&T starting July 19. The price for this handset is $49.99 after mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement.
