A software developed by SymbianGury and dubbed Phone Guardian is probably the most useful mobile phone security software that enables its owner to track the device via GPS in case of theft.


The software also sends a message when a SIM card has been change and offers besides Cell ID triangulation tracking, also GPS tracking if the mobile has a built-in GPS receiver.


According to Softpedia, the software can be installed through Nokia PC Suite synchronization, Bluetooth or IrDA connections. The same source writes that before installing Phone Guardian, the user will be asked if he wants to install it with application icon or without it. In this way the user can choose the level of desired security. After the first launch, the user is asked to enter a new password then the user can access the main menu page.


Additionally, the software offers 5 day trial version that can be used by entering the default password 12345. Phone Guardian can be purchased for about $12.99.
