Samsung TouchWiz Hits India V.J. | , 8:35 p.m. Aug. 4, 2008 2008-08-04

Samsung just loves to release mobile phones, don’t they? Last month there should have been at least four releases or announcements of new handsets. This is very interesting as the company is reported to have some financial problems as quarter profits were less than expected.

Nevertheless, Samsung continues to release mobile phone in all parts of the world and now the Indian market will get the F480 also known as the TouchWiz. The phone has full touch navigation system and we just have to say something about its design: excellent.

But not just the design may impress, TouchWiz’s features are worth your money. The device comes with a great 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and auto smile shot feature, face detection, image stabilizer, CMOS video lens and Wide Dynamic Range. The last feature is found in the latest releases of digital cameras.

Users will have a clever function ready to use: drag and drop technology. This allows users to add the Music Player, FM radio, Games, Profiles, clock and so on everywhere on the screen, either left or right.

TouchWiz comes with GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and functions on GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz and WCDMA 2100 bands. It also has 240 MB internal memory expandable to 8GB thanks to a microSD memory card slot. The device costs about Rs 20,990.
