Samsung Releases Brilliant Eco-Phone V.J. | , 2:42 p.m. Aug. 14, 2008 2008-08-14

Samsung is really keeping an eye on environmental issues. The company is releasing a mobile phone covered with a full bioplastic case. After other 3 eco-friendly releases this year, Samsung amazes with what they can do.

The case is made from bioplastics, materials extracted from corn. That pretty means that nature does not have to spend about 600 years trying to decompose the plastic, but it will take far less than that. And the handset also comes with some pretty interesting features.

Not long ago, Samsung had two releases, the W510 and F269 which were produced with techniques that would eliminate any environmental damaging materials such as lead, cadmium and mercury.

The E200 Eco comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera that will give modest image quality. Additionally it will incorporate video messaging capabilities and MP3 player. Its green design reminds of some of Nokia old releases but, in any case, we have to give Samsung thumbs up for what they have done.

The device, despite its low features, is highly welcomed to the mobile phone industry and a perfect example of what can be achieved with a mind on environment.
