Samsung Launches Olympics Phone V.J. | , 4:09 p.m. Aug. 7, 2008 2008-08-07

Samsung has decided to launch its mobile phone dedicated to the Olympics. The games which will start tomorrow (August 8) will be honored by yet another handset, the Samsung Soul.

The device is pretty much a special edition of the original Soul and will come with almost the same features but it will also have a few improvements. The device looks pretty well and its white / silver color give more Olympics feeling to it.

As mentioned above, the Samsung Soul will have basically the same features as the original Soul model. This means that the handset comes with a 5 megapixel camera which enables you to take quality images at the Games. It will also have a 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity and, of course, Bluetooth 2.0.

The new is spotted at its battery. The device has a metal battery cover engraved with the Olympic logo. Actually, it also has preloaded Olympics wallpapers and everything that goes along with a themed mobile phone.

The handset is ready for purchase. Samsung Soul Olympic Special Edition is available for about $700 USD.
