Samsung launches the i329 in China V.J. | , 3:31 p.m. Aug. 4, 2009 2009-08-04

Samsung is preparing to release another smartphone, the Samsung i392. The handset is headed towards China where it will be ready for purchase in no time. The Samsung i392 will be running Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system.

Softpedia argues that the new handset might become available approximately in the same time China Unicom will make available the new CDMA200 1x EV-DO Rev.0 service in the country.  The handset will probably be launched by China Telecom, however.

In any case the Samsung i392 comes with a 3 inch display with full touch capabilities and support for 240 x 400 pixels resolution. The handset comes with the popular TouchWiz user interface and sports 512 MB of internal memory and support for microSD memory cards for up to 32 GB of additional storage space.

At this moment, this is all the available information on the upcoming handset. There is neither an official release date nor pricing information. We will return on the subject once details become available.
