Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in semiconductor, telecommunication, digital media and digital convergence technologies yesterday announced Samsung bada, its own operating system. This new improvement will actually help the developers to create applications for new Samsung mobile phones.

The software bada, whose name is based on the Korean word for 'ocean' directs towards the creation of a limitless variety of applications that can now be created by utilizing this new platform. 

The manufacturers have stated that it will be one of the most user-friendly environments using web services where bada's ground-breaking User Interface can be transferred into a sophisticated and attractive UI design for developers.

Dr Hosoo Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics said, "By opening Samsung's mobile platforms we will be able to provide rich mobile experiences on an increasing number of accessible smartphones." He added, "bada will be Samsung's landmark, iconic new platform that brings an unprecedented opportunity for operators, developers and Samsung mobile phone users around the world."

The manufacturer also promises to present the OS and software development kit for it in details at an upcoming developer's event  that will take place in London next month i.e. in December.
