Rumor: Samsung plans to release two Windows Mobile handsets V.J. | , 2:09 a.m. Jan. 27, 2009 2009-01-27

According to various blogs, Samsung is planning to release two brand new mobile phones that will run Windows Mobile. The two phones are ‘code named’ Samsung Louve and Samsung Pivot.

The Samsung Louve is said to incorporate a 3.2 megapixel camera and to run Windows Mobil 6.1 Professional. The customized UI is said to be similar to Samsung Omnia.

The Samsung Pivot is said to be the first Windows Mobile smartphone that will run on the latest Microsoft mobile OS, Windows Mobile 6.5. Pivot will come with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a QWERTY keyboard, AGPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and so on.

Unfortunately we do not know anything else about these handsets, they might be announced next month in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress.
