Sony Ericsson has recently announced the upcoming launch of two brand new Android-powered handsets, the Xperia X10 and the Xperia X10 Mini Pro. However, the company did not immediatelly specify their prices or release dates. Both phones are already available online for pre-order on Expansys.

The handsets are expected to hit the market on April 13 and Expansys shows the price tags as being about 300 pounds for the Xperia X10 mini in black and 340 pounds for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro, also in black.

Both handsets have basically the same features and specifications. However, the Xperia X10 Mini pro comes with a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard while the Xperia X10 Mini does not. The handsets are powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset at 600 MHz and come with a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash, Geotagging and video recording capabilities.

In addition, the handsets come with 128MB internal memory and microSDHC memory card slot for additional storage space. HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB connectivity options are available as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.  They also support MP3, AAC, eAAC+ and OGG  audio files as well as MP3, 3GP video files.

Functioning on the Android 1.6 operating system, the phones come with web browser, Office Document Viewer, Google Maps, the Timescape Interface, AGPS and other tools.
If interested you can seek the phones on Expansys.com or wait until they are available at your operator.
