Panasonic is not a world renowned mobile phone manufacturer. The company’s strength lies in other electronic devices, but nevertheless they intend to leave their mark on the mobile phone industry as well.



A new device is set to be released in Japan and comes with interesting features and design. Mentioning design, the handset is a pretty dark clamshell but nonetheless it has an elegant overall design, as black is a decent color.



In any case,  the clamshell ha 3G connectivity, a modest 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, a 3 inch display, microSDHC memory card slot, front facing camera, shortcut keys and other interesting features.



For the moment, pricing is unknown as well as the exact release date. Panasonic releases few handsets, but this one may be reliable. The Panasonic P706ie will be available via NTT DoCoMo before long.
