Orange will start shipping the HTC Hero tomorrow (July 23). The handset is the third phone coming from HTC that supports the Google Android operating system and Softpedia says it is “the best such device that came to the market until now.”
The handset comes with a 3.2 inch touchscreen display with support for multi-touch imput. Additionally the handset sports a 5 megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm audtio jack, GPS receiver, speakerphone, MP3 player, video player, Trackbal, handwriting recognition and a microSD memory card for more storage space.
The HTC Hero also comes with Bluetooth, GPRS, HSDPA, WiFi connectivity support. The handset’s battery is capable of offering nearly 8 hours in talk time and up to 18 days in standby time. The handset is listed on the Orange UK website here
