Norwegian company Opera software has released the latest update of its well-accepted phone browser Opera Mini for Android. Welcomed by all Android phone owners, the tweaked Opera Mini 5.1 version will offer improved user experience as it reduces mobile traffic by 90 percent thereby improving speed and keeping data charges to the minimum.
Opera mini is the most prefered mobile phone browser liked by as many as 61 million users worldwide. Recently, it was caught up in the latest success wave of Apple iPhone 4 wherein it registered 1 million downloads within 24 hours of its release at the App store.
Opera mini has been developed not only for smartphones, but also suits low-range to mid-range handsets where hardware specifications tend to be limited. In addition, the release of Opera mini update will finally allow Android users the chance to set it as their default browser for a more convenient internet access.
