Nokia Unveils the Future of the Mobile Phones VJ | , 12:16 a.m. Aug. 26, 2008 2008-08-26

Nokia has finally decided to unveil the N96 which is said to be the revolution of mobile phones. This handset is said to be aimed at internet browsing, video, music, photo and gaming. Overall this might be the best entertainment handset available in the market.

Recently, Samsung has unleashed its high-end extraordinary entertainment handset, the Innov8. It seems that Nokia is going to counter that release with their N96 and might take the first place in entertainment mobile handsets.

The N96 runs S60 Third Edition, feature pack 2. It comes with a 2.8 inch display and can play various video formats like MPEG-4, Windows Media Video and Flash Video.  It supports USB 2.0 and HSDPA (High Speed Packet Access) connectivity.

The N96 comes with 16GB of internal memory that can be supplemented with an 8GB Micro Secure Digital memory card slot, giving a total of 24GB of memory. This is simply astonishing for the mobile industry. Additionally the handset comes with A-GPS and other interesting features.

The handset will be officially announced today and details about its pricing and availability should be known soon.
