Nokia Siemens receives billion dollar order from China V.J. | , 6:02 p.m. Feb. 25, 2009 2009-02-25

The prestigious telecom equipment vendor, Nokia Siemens Networks has recently received orders for 2G and 3G mobile equipment from China Mobile and China Unicom worth approximately 880 million euros, that’s about $1.12 billion.

According to the latest reports Nokia Siemens Networks will provide top equipment for ECDMA networks in eleven Chinese provinces for China Unicom. Additionally, for China Mobile, the company will provide TD-SCMA and GSM networks.

The contract agreement was signed recently, during a visit to Germany of a Chinese delegation.
