Nokia introduces new family of social networking handsets Saveri | , 11:28 a.m. April 14, 2010 2010-04-14

In keeping up with the trend of introducing messaging capable devices, Nokia has once again come out with a range of mid-range messaging and social networking phones offering corporate email access and instant messaging tools. These QWERTY based handsets - the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 are designed for people who are on the look out for a social messaging device that is affordable yet includes the best of messaging features such as text, email, direct access to social networking sites and instant messaging.

The first amongst the range is the Nokia C3, full QWERTY keyboard handset running on the Series 40 platform. People can get direct access to social networking sites right from the homescreen and view Live Updates of friends. They can upload and share their pictures on popular social networks such as Facebook and Twitter and moreover view, comment on their friends status updates. Other features include Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat, Wi-Fi connectivity, 2-megapixel camera, 2.4-inch colour screen and support for 8GB memory card.

Nokia C3 will be available in the second quarter of 2010 at an estimated price of EUR 90, before taxes and subsidies.

The Nokia C6 is a Symbian-based smartphone including a 3.2-inch touch screen and a full slide out keyboard. Direct access to social networks is provided with a ful suite of facilities like email, 5-megapixel camera, Ovi Maps and downloads from Ovi store.

Nokia C6 will be available in the second quarter of 2010 at an estimated price of EUR 220, before taxes and subsidies.

The last but not the least belongs to the Nokia Eseries range, the Nokia E5. Designed for those who know how to balance their personal and professional life to perfection, this Symbian-based phone comes with technologically advanced features like personal networking, direct access to over 90 percent of the world's corporate email through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler admist other productive applications.

Nokia E5 is planned to release in the third quarter of 2010 at an estimated of EUR 180, before taxes and subsidies.
