Motorola E8 – The Rocker V.J. | , 9:36 a.m. July 11, 2008 2008-07-11

Motorola is not in its good days. The company has a lot of internal problems as well as some marketing difficulties but despite that it still managed to forge a new handset especially designed for all music lovers.

We see more and more handsets made to satisfy the increasing demand for mobile phones with remarkable music features. Answering this demand, Motorola made a mobile phone known as E8 Rokr. The device is pretty slim as its measurements are 115x53x10.6mm. The handset has no keyboard, but it has a great touchpad with touch feedback, so this is something out of the ordinary. It also is pretty light, as it weights just 100 grams.

The handset can last around 5 hours in talktime and more that 300 in standby. It has 2GB of internal memory and a microSD giving expandable opportunity to 4GB. Interesting is the fact that it has ModeShift technology meaning with a simple touch on a virtual key it switches between the music player, phone and a 2 megapixel camera with zoom digital 8X.

Being built for music, the Motorola E8 Rokr comes with a 3.5mm jack and of course it has stereo Bluetooth for wireless listening. A 2 inch QVGA enables the user to see a clear playlist of music tracks.

This device is a must have for every music lover and it is also good to see Motorola produce something new.
