Motorola A455 and Motorola Evoke QA4 wait to be announced V.J. | , 2:30 p.m. March 10, 2009 2009-03-10

Motorola plans to release two new mid-range handsets, the Motorola A455 and Motorola Evoke QA4. However, these devices have not been announced yet, although images and specifications can be found on the Internet.

The new Motorola Evoke QA4, has a superb brand name if they remove that QA4. This might not be the actual name of the handset, depends on how Motorola decides on announcing it. Anyway the handset comes with CDMA / EV-DO Rev support. Also, it has a virtual QWERTY keyboard.

The handset will most probably come with Bluetooth with A2DP, MP3 player, E-mail, IM, Voice recognition, a 2 megapixel camera with video recording, microSD and microSDHC memory card slots. As far as we know, the handset measures about 108 X 50.5 X 17.5 mm and weights no more that 128 grams.

The other handset that is rumored to be released is known as the Motorola Rival A455. Great name if you remove that ‘A455’. This handset has also been named the Motorola Rush 2 and it might become available at Verizon.

The handset comes with dual-band CDMA connectivity with 1X/EV-DO. Additionally, it incorporates a microSD/SDHC memory card slot, an MP3 player, email and IM capabilities. Also it comes with stereo Bluetooth support and VZ Navigator. The handset weights about 125 grams and measures 97 X 51 X 18 mm.

At this time we do not hold any information regarding the release date of the handsets. In fact, both handsets have not been officially announced by Motorola. Judging by their specifications, the Rival A455 and Evoke QA4 are mid-range mobile phones that should not be quite affordable.
