A look at the BenQ E72 V.J. | , 6:16 p.m. Sept. 16, 2008 2008-09-16

BenQ is not the largest mobile phone manufacturer; in fact people know them probably because some good laptops they’ve built. However, BenQ does actually bring some interesting handsets into the mobile phone markets.

The BenQ E72 comes with WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDRand some cool and useful extra software. We can easily say that this handset is quite good and could have some success in the markets.

Anyway, the handset runs Windows Mobile 6.0 and includes Windows Mobile 6 Standard bundle plus Mundu, which is a good IM and Fizz Traveller. Additionally it comes with 64 MB of on-board memory expandable thanks to a microSD card slot.

The BenQ E72 has a modest 2 megapixel camera, a 2 inch display and has quad band GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) connectivity. It also comes with GPRS and EDGE support. The handset is pretty light as it weights about 90 grams and measures 46.3 x 13.8 and 108 mm.

The price, however, is quite big if you ask me. For about 100 pounds you can buy this handset in the UK.
