Information on the Motorola Alexander Leaked V.J. | , 11:11 a.m. Aug. 6, 2008 2008-08-06

Rumors say that Motorola will release a new touchscreen handset named Alexander. It may also be that the device will not run Symbian but Windows Mobile 6.1. In addition the device will have a full QWERTY keyboard.

The upcoming Motorola Alexander definitely brings innovation into the mobile phone industry. At first impression, it seems to be a Pocket PC, as its measurements are quite substantial. But it will surely be worth a little extra room in your pocket.

Its features are interesting enough to make you want to buy it. The Motorola Alexander will most probably come with a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, image stabilizer. Rumors say that it may be possible to come with a 8 megapixel camera, but for the moment the 5MP is more close to reality.

The Motorola Alexander will have internal GPS and 3G connectivity, and will run Windows Mobile 6.1 which will have a document viewer and editor, outlook email and everything related to the operating system. In addition, the device will bring new 3D experience as it will have an NVIDIA chip.

Motorola will probably announce the Alexander in a few months and may be available for purchase in Q4 2008. Also, the chances that the device will actually be named Alexander are pretty slim, but we don’t know yet for sure.

Photos of the device have been leaked over the internet and this may be a clear sign that the device will be announced soon as Motorola won’t manage to keep it secret forever.
