Information regarding specifications of the upcoming Android- and Windows Phone 7-powered Dell handsets, the Dell Thunder and the Dell Lightning, has emerged. Images of the two handsets have been published by Engadget.
Dell Thunder is expected to run Android 2.1 and comes with a 4 inch 480 x 800 OLED touchscreen. It also offers GPS, WiFi and 3G connectivity support. In addition the phone is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The handset may have Sense-style user interface and Facebook and Twitter integration. The phone may be equipped with an 8 megapixel camera.
Dell Lightning (image below) is the company’s first Windows Phone 7 handset. According to specs leaked and published by Engadget, the Dell Lightning comes with a 4.1 inch OLED touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and connectivity support for HSDPA, WiFi and TPS. The Dell Lightning is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor as well. The phone may be expected to be available through T-Mobile.
In any case, the phones have not been officially announced and details regarding their availability and price tags are lacking at the moment.
