India gets the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 V.J. | , 9:57 a.m. June 10, 2010 2010-06-10

One of Sony Ericsson’s highly praised mobile phone is now available in India. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 can be purchased for Rs 15,000 or even less. The X10 mini version comes in a variety of colors like pearl white, black, pink, lime, red or silver.

The handset was announced in November 2009 and the wait was definitely worth it. The Xperia X10 comes with a 4 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen boasting a 480 x 854 pixels resolution and offering 65k colors. The display has scratch-resistant surface, accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, timescape and mediascape UI.

Xperia X10 offers 1 GB of internal memory and 384 MB RAM. It has a microSD memory card slot for memory expansion to up to 32GB. It is equipped with microUSB 2.0, WiFi, HSDPA connectivity support, EDGE and GPRS.

The phone is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection and touch focus. Xperia X10 is powered by a Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1GHz processor and the battery l;ife is about 8 hours talktime and 425 hours in stand-by mode (3G).

Users in India can now benefit from this remarkable features for a perhaps good price, Rs. 15,000.
