Dargaville residents spent four days without mobile phone coverage on the Vodafone network. Reports indicate that a communication problem between Vodafone staff was responsible.
"They've known about it since last Friday, but no-one in our network team let me know," says Vodafone's external communication manager Paul Brislen.
Dargaville and Districts News writes that “compensation is not out of the question for consumers upset by the lack of coverage in the area.” Communication manager Brislen says that the company will work with each customer in part to resolve the problem. "Ring in and we will work with customers on an individual basis," he says.
