Fluidata launches remote backup V.J. | , 9:53 p.m. Aug. 11, 2009 2009-08-11

Fluidata, a leading Telecoms provider, launches Remote Backup, a new product, which allows business users to automatically backup their critical data while using their Fluidata internet connection. The product launches nationwide this month (August).

From SME’s to larger enterprises, Remote Backup offers a value proposition for users, with accounts up to 5 Tb in size and priced from £50 per month, with no minimum contract term, allowing easy upgrade to storage, and no requirement to purchase hardware as the software is rented.

Using Fluidata’s range of internet connections, Remote Backup can utilise Annex-M technology that allows DSL to run up to 2.6 Mb/s upstream. Data can be backed up more quickly and kept fully up to date, making it more useful for any company. Remote Backup works in isolation to the internet with 256-bit encryption, to provide maximum security. Any vital information that a user submits is saved in the secure Fluidata data centre ready to be restored when required.

Piers Daniell, Managing Director of Fluidata, says: “With more businesses moving to off site environments and switching to offline backup to protect and store valuable company data, Remote Backup has been designed as a solution system, allowing organisations to feel safe in the knowledge that their important data will never be lost.

“Remote Backup offers a unique service, at a time when security of data and providing automatic updates are essential. Fluidata’s low cost solution to data storage and automatic update system brings a fresh approach to the market.”
