It seems that he Global financial crisis is slowly but surely taking its grip on the mobile industry. In every part of the world, giant phone manufacturers and equipment makers are cutting jobs to save money.

Recently, Ericsson said they will cut 300 jobs in Ireland as part to save about 10 billion Swedish crowns, about $1.2 million. Ericsson had a1,700 employees in Ireland. This is a hard hit for the Irish economy as other high-tech manufacturers left the country including Dell.

According to an unemployment statistic, the number of citizens without a job is worrying high. Some local newspapers point out that this is a record high number.
