Good news for android cell phone owners. The new Car Home is now available for Nexus One and Motorola Droid.

By allowing more scope for personalization, the car home app for Android 2.2 has been updated now. How? Well the car home application for Android turns the android cell phone into an enhanced driving buddy that provide you with fast access to key applications like GPS navigation, voice-activated commands, contacts, etc.

At present, it is possible to rapidly modify the shortcuts to personalize car home with one-touch access to apps and information on your cell phone.  For this, you simply have to select one of the icons marked as 'Add shortcut' so as to create your own shortcuts.

Besides this, you can even drag-and-drop or dispose of the shortcuts by pressing any of them. Launching the car home could be simply done by opening the app directly from your phone or docking your phone in a car dock.

It is also possible to automatically switch to car home when your phone joins up with any Bluetooth™ device. In such a situation, you only have to select 'Settings' from the car home screen and pick which of your paired Bluetooth™ devices that you wish to robotically set off car home.

Despite this, it is also probable to customize the car home that allows you to set you own wallpaper as per your choice. Moreover, you can also customize the color of the shortcut icons as well.
