Samsung calls for Windows Mobile 6.1 to run the BlackJack II handset. The update comes with no surprise as there are countless other mobile phones that get Windows update.

 

The update brings better SMS threading, improved GPS navigation and internet connection sharing. What is interesting about this is the fact that the upgrade is free an can be downloaded from Samsung’s website.

 

The Samsung BlackJack II comes with a 2.4 inch LCD TFT/TFD display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution. It has 155 of built-in flash shared memory. The handset has a quad band GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) connectivity.

 

The device measures about 114 x 61 x 13 mm and has good battery life of 7 hours talk-time and about 336 hours in standby.
