The upcoming BlackBerry handset, known as the BlackBerry Storm 2, may become available under the model number 9550. Additionally, the handset may become available via carriers like Verizon and Vodafone.

The BlackBerry Storm 2 or the BlackBerry 9550 will most likely come with WiFi connectivity, CDMA 1xRTT/EVDO Rev. A, quad-band GSM/EDGE and Single band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity support.

The handset also sports a touchscreen display capable of offering 360 x 480 pixels resolution, and also comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera. According to reports, the new handset will most probably feature the BlackBerry OS 5.0.

At the moment there is no information regarding the phone’s price tag, and we also do not have any details regarding its availability.
