The new 3G iPhone will function over 300 hours in standby and 5 hours talktime. Steve Jobs confirmed the release and will be sold in about 70 countries.

In the US the 3G iPhone will cost $299. The price came after Apple marketing researches show that the reason why potential customers do not opt for an iPhone is the high price.

The device will have an incorporated GPS, and Wi-Fi based location service for one year. The software has been announce to be available starting July. Apple say they will launch another application in September which will allow people to use IM programs and even receive messages when offline.
