Android To Be Launch by T-Mobile V.J. | , 1:54 p.m. Aug. 14, 2008 2008-08-14

The highly awaited open source mobile phone operating system forged by Google is expected to launch soon. T-Mobile will most likely release it with a new device in the USA as soon as October.

Following the growing demand for an open source OS, Nokia has released its own with Symbian. Windows Mobile is still under license, and as we know Microsoft, will probably remain that way. Various analysts said that Android may very well link up with Symbian to create a unique, high quality, free mobile phone operating system.

T-Mobile will release the new software, Android, in October. The device which may come with the OS is to be HTC Dream which will work pretty well with the software. In any case the device comes with a full QWERY keypad that will facilitate the use of the OS.

The success of Appleā€™s App Store and the newly release open source OS Symbian by Nokia, urge Google for a quick release. In any case it will be in their best interest to launch it in October in order to be able to make an impact. If it is delayed, it may not have a clear position in the industry as few users will consider changing their OS.
