Reports indicate that the world renowned laptop Taiwanese laptop manufacturer Acer is planning to enter the mobile phone industry with a self-branded smartphone.

There is little information about the handset. As we know so far the company’s first mobile phone will be based on Windows Mobile and the handset was forged by the recently aquired firm E-Ten.

Now this is absolutely sudden. Who would have thought that Acer is planning to join the mobile phone market?
