Please check firmware date of your phone. (Dial *#0000# on the standby screen.)
Because latest firmware updates for E61i have default ‘SMS Accelerator’

Sorry, I forgot to give details. I am unable to send and receive SMS and ‘SMS Accelerator’ cannot correct this problem. If I am not wrong, That fix ‘‘SMS Accelerator’ only rectifies slow messaging problem.

My partner is also getting some trouble by SMS feature of his E61i. But we have found a simple solution for it. If he wants to send important message, either send it via email or make a direct call. That’s all! ;-)

Hi others, I have tried everything to solve my problem……resets, reinstallation of firmware updates, repairing by authorized service centre. Still unhappy with messaging. Now I think that my phone is a part of testing slot. weep
